The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth at 1378 feet (420 meters) below sea level. The sea itself is extremely salty such that no fish or algae can live in it. However, its minerals are sought after the world over and use in countless health and beauty products. Ein Gedi is a fresh water spring that flows to the Dead Sea. Not only is it a major tourist attraction due to its beauty, but soon to be king David hid in an area cave whilst fleeing from King Saul.
